Hello friends!
I hope this finds you well. Jemar and I are new to blogging, but we hope it keeps our faraway friends and family updated on Delta lives. I can't promise how often we'll post, but we generally respond well to peer pressure (hint, hint).
As you can see, we have some exciting news in our life. Introducing......monkey! This picture was taken at 11 weeks and (I think) resembles a gummy bear. Can you see it?
We are very happy, very excited and praying constantly for our new little baby. We ask for your prayers because, as many of you don’t know, we actually had a miscarriage in September of 2009. Our baby had been growing for 8 weeks when the tiny one passed away. We were shocked in August to learn he was on the way and devastated to know we would never be able to hold him. The experience was very hard for us both physically and emotionally which is why we were flabbergasted to learn we were expecting again in November. You know what they say, you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!
Everyday we are growing more excited about this new addition and are already mourning the end of our world-traveling, wine drinking (for me) and fabulous care-free lives. However, if nothing else, we have learned an intense appreciation of life. Even if this baby is colic-y, awake all night, or the opposite of the gender we thought we wanted - we are already in love.
"Unending love, Amazing grace."
