Over the last few months I have been convinced that I did not want to find out the gender of our baby. A few things pushed me over the edge:
1) If you create a gender specific nursery and plan to have more children someday, you'll have to find out the gender of the 2nd and most likely will have to completely redecorate.
2) Even if you register for something different, people will buy pink for girls and blue for boys. I like pink as much as the next person, but my daughter will be a style maven, no bubblegum pink! (Although I do have a super cute pink credit card......the balance is $0 by the way).
3) One website said not finding out the gender will drive family and friends crazy. This reason sparked the little devil in me. What do you think? Is not knowing driving you crazy?
In addition to not finding out the gender, Jemar would like to keep our baby names secret. Mainly so no one passes judgment, but also to prevent people from offering suggestions. In answer to questions however, our son's name will be Aloysius and our daughter's name will be Aoleon.
SO, since you don't know the gender and you don't know the name - you still need something to call the unborn right?? Well, dear friends, introducing........MONKEY!
Why Monkey? I'll let you guess.
