Cancun Adventure: Swimming with the Dolphins
At a local aquarium in Cancun, Jemar took the chance to swim with the dolphins. For an hour, he and a group of others petted the dolphins, "kissed" the dolphins, "hugged" the dolphins and for the grand finale - enjoyed a dolphin push. Essentially, he floated dead-man style as two dolphins swam up behind him and pushed him forward by his feet about 50 yards or so.
Jemar says the hour went by quickly, but it was one of his favorite memories. As for the dolphins, he described them as feeling like "wet velvet".
*Curious as to why I didn't join the fun? Apparently, dolphins are extremely curious about pregnant women and often concentrate on them to the exclusion of others. Dolphins (likely through sonar) can hear the heartbeat of the baby and use their noeses to investigate. Isn't that fascinating?!?

Would you have let the dolphins touch you? :)
ReplyDeleteI want to see you! I also want to give you a baby gift, which might be nice to do pre-Monkey arrival. I'm gone July 1-6, but then I am seriously hunting you down.
Ashley, you know me well. Heck no I wouldn't have let a dolphin touch me!!
ReplyDeleteOn a slightly stalkerish note, I've drive by your house the last few days as I've been in Cleveland every day this week. One day when it isn't so late, I'm going to stop in a see you!
